On December 4, the fifth global cross-border e-commerce conference officially kicked off in Jinhua, the "heart of Zhejiang. With the theme of "Cross-border E-commerce Inclusive Worldwide", the conference brought together representatives of the "Belt and Road" co-construction of national embassies and consulates in China, leaders of relevant national ministries and commissions, leaders of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones, well-known experts in the industry and business representatives Waiting for heavy guests to discuss the development of China's cross-border e-commerce and share new opportunities in the wave of economic globalization.
This cross-border e-commerce conference closely focused on the development theme of global cross-border e-commerce, and discussed the development status and future trends of global cross-border e-commerce from a macro perspective, industrial transformation, platform development, and standardized governance. Under the digital economy transformation strategy, the government, academia, and the business community have accelerated the cultivation of new foreign trade formats and new models, and enhanced the valuable experience of new foreign trade momentum and new advantages.
Zhang Zhigang, president of the China Federation of Commerce, pointed out that in recent years, e-commerce has achieved rapid development in China, which has revolutionized the business service industry. Legal development, high-tech development supported by data, online and offline integrated development, more coordinated development of goods and services, urban and rural areas, and domestic and foreign e-commerce are becoming new features of China's e-commerce development at present and in the future.
Yao Guanghai, Secretary of the Party Committee of the China International Electronic Commerce Center, said that in recent years, as trade exchanges between countries around the world have become more frequent, the Chinese government's support for cross-border e-commerce has become clearer, and substantial favorable policies have been introduced one after another, coupled with the ''E-commerce Law. "The escort of the cross-border e-commerce industry has made the cross-border e-commerce industry develop more rapidly, orderly and standardized. Cross-border e-commerce has built a new model of foreign trade cooperation, and now it has become a new driving force and new engine for the growth of international trade. At the same time, the further advancement of the "Belt and Road" initiative has ushered in new space and new opportunities for the development of cross-border e-commerce. However, there are more difficulties and challenges parallel to the opportunities, and we must keep a clear understanding.
It is worth mentioning that the China International Electronic Commerce Center authoritatively released the "China Cross-border E-commerce Development Report (2018-2019)" for the first time at this conference. The report pointed out that in 2019, China's cross-border e-commerce retail export sales reached 1.85 trillion yuan, a growth rate of more than 30%. It is expected that by 2020, China's cross-border e-commerce retail export sales will exceed 2 trillion yuan.
